In 2009, discarded tv’s, pc’s, peripherals (including printers, scanners, faxes), mice, keyboards and cell phones were recycled at a rate of about 25 percent (aprox. 593,000 tons). Although recycling continues to increase, the percentage recycled remains constant because of the ever-increasing number of electronics available for end of life management.
